VP2MWG - DXpedition to Montserrat Island, British West Indies IOTA NA-103
Beginning November 18 through December 6, 2011, look for DF7OGO, K3WT, NØAT, NØSTL and WØOR operating as VP2MGO, VP2MWT, VP2MTA, VP2MTL and VP2MOR, respectively. During the CQWW CW DX and ARRL 160 meter contests, the group will be signing VP2MWG. Before and after the contests, activity will be on CW, SSB and RTTY on 160 through 6 meters.

In 2009 the same core group of operators finished 2nd in North America multi-single from El Salvador as YS4U and has previously participated in CQWW CW contests as 5JØA (San Andres), CP6CW (Bolivia) and TGØAA (Guatemala), holding scoring records for each country. CQWW Contest Results

The VP2MWG CQWW CW results are up on 3830. Preliminary results are as follows:

10,230 QSOs, 172 zones, 571 countries, 18,863,565 points. So far we are in 8th place worldwide.

Ron, N0AT and Bill, W0OR arrived ahead of the remainder of the team on Saturday, November 19th and began set up by assembling the TH33 seen at the top of our QTH at Gingerbread Hill, near St. Peters on Montserrat. (see photos)

Tom, K3WT arrived on Monday morning, Nov. 21st, by air on Fly Montserrat, the only airline serving the island. Gregor, DF7OGO and Vlad, N0STL came over from Antigua on the ferry Wednesday morning, Nov. 23rd.
